Award winning film composer RYAN SHORE's diverse background of orchestral, contemporary and jazz music, combined with his abilities to compose memorable music and to be highly collaborative, has quickly made him one of today's sought after film composers.

Shore's recent scores include Prime (Universal) starring Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman; The Girl Next Door (Anchor Bay); Harvard Man (Lions Gate) starring Adrian Grenier and Sarah Michelle Gellar; Scout's Honor starring Bill Murray and Alec Baldwin; Vulgar (Lions Gate) produced by Kevin Smith; Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (Anchor Bay) which he recorded and conducted with the 93-piece Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra and was named Ain't It Cool News' Top 10 Scores of the Year; the comedy Lower Learning (Anchor Bay) starring Rob Corddry, Jason Biggs, Eva Longoria, and Kyle Gass; and Numb starring Matthew Perry and Mary Steenburgen.

He recently scored Macedonia's official submission for the Academy Awards, Shadows, written and directed by Academy Award nominee Milcho Manchevski, which was the highest grossing theatrical release ever in its home country. He also composed original on-camera music for Fur (New Line), starring Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey, Jr., for which he was seen in the film performing his original music. 

Ryan has 7 films being released this upcoming Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 -- Stan Helsing (Anchor Bay) from the executive producer of Scary Movie; Cabin Fever 2 (Lions Gate); Offspring (Lions Gate) for Sam Raimi's distribution company; the animation Articles of War which he recorded and conducted with the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra at the Skywalker Ranch; the horror / thriller The Shrine starring Aaron Ashmore; Home Movie (Anchor Bay); and the romantic comedy Made for Each Other (IFC) starring Bijou Phillips, Danny Masterson, Chris Masterson and Patrick Warburton.

For his score for Cadaverous, he received the Elmer Bernstein Scoring Award, which was personally adjudicated and presented by Academy Award winning composer Elmer Bernstein (To Kill a Mockingbird, The Magnificent Seven), with Mr. Bernstein commenting of the "special marriage that was created between the music and the film".

Shore's scores also include Confession starring Chris Pine (Star Trek); Kettle of Fish (Universal) starring Matthew Modine and Gina Gershon; Lift (Showtime) starring Kerry Washington; Headspace starring William Atherton and Dee Wallace-Stone; Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss (20th Century Fox) starring Jamie-Lynn Sigler; 212 (Sundance); and Coney Island Baby (Sundance). Shore's extensive work in film also includes producing the music for the Saturday Night Live Studios theatrical logo, orchestrations for Analyze This (Warner Bros) and Dogma (Lions Gate); and source music arranging for The Game (PolyGram).

In addition to scoring for film, he plays saxophone, clarinet and flute and has performed with Matchbox Twenty on tour of the U.S, including a special street performance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

In his spare time, Ryan is a certified private pilot and enjoys flying with friends in and around California.
