INSIDE FILM MUSIC: COMPOSERS SPEAK, Christian DesJardins' new book, released by Silman-James Press, is now in stores. Ryan is interviewed among other film composers including Alan Silvestri, Marc Shaiman, John Barry, Philip Glass, Gabriel Yared, Mark Isham, Rachel Portman, John Powell, Rolfe Kent, and Christopher Young. Ryan also provides the Preliminary chapter for the book, and discusses the basics of film music.
